The restaurant with the finest view overlooking Stockholm? If you ask to the inhabitants of the Swedish all respond: Fotografiska, new restaurant located in a museum. The new restaurant is housed on the top floor of the building, built in the Art Nouveau style in 1906 as a center of customs control of goods.

Its large windows that overlook the bay of the capital, are the original. The view stretches from the Royal Palace to the spiers of the towers of the old town, to get lost in the continuous movement of boats sailing between the many small islands of the archipelago.

The whole interior decoration is designed to recreate the same atmosphere in the exhibition. Soft lights, a prevalence of dark colors for the seats, chandeliers and wooden floors, beautiful photographs on the walls, a touch industrial finishes leaded windows and partition walls, iron painted dark gray. Black marble with white veins on the large bar and the kitchen, partially visible, has walls lined with tile diamond pattern in black and white.

All expertly prepared, retaining the original wooden beams of the building. The menu is refined, offers traditional Swedish dishes made using only seasonal ingredients. One of the reasons for winning the prestigious award Gulddraken as best Restaurant of the Year in 2015.
